Previously known as Zombi U, this is the remake of the Wii U game.

Agreed. I loved it at the time. It would be nice if they incorporated the Vita (for PS4) or a phone/tablet (for One) in place of the Gamepad functions (Psybits beat me to it) but at this point I'd rather just have a sequel.

At 20$ I figured what the heck, so I bought this. I totally figured it'd be 30-40$.
Playing it right now to see how they replaced the tablet. Feels much more natural to have stuff on the TV...pretty much the feeling I get everytime I am forced to look down at the WiiU tablet. |

This game was one of the major reasons why I bought a Wii U. I liked the gamepad a lot however like most Wii U games, it was under utilized. This game is frustratingly difficult. Smashing one zombie with a cricket bat is difficult enough. When there's five of them coming after you, it's almost impossible. I really wanted to like this game and the Wii U, however I ultimately sold both. Zombie U, The Evil Within and Watch Dogs (especially the end) were three of the most frustrating gaming experiences I've had in recent memory. All three made me want to chuck my controller through the television.

Just bought this off UK's PSN store. Is on special offer so was only 4 pounds. I hope that I will like it.
![]() One of the favourable things about it is that, unlike Dying Light, melee weapons don't break! ![]() Anyone else picked this up? |

It was on the PS+ lineup around a year ago. I enjoyed playing it and really liked the atmosphere (a zombie game in England?!). The gameplay could be a little better (shooting isn't the best, especially headshots), but it was still fun (like you said melee weapons don't break!). The worst thing to me is that each difficulty is its own trophy, so playing the game 3 times if you want all the trophies is tedious and repetitive (if you're into trophy hunting), so I've only played the game once so far. There are a few endings though.

Only thing I'm not a fan of here is the first person view, preferring to see things from a 3rd person view most times. And the reported difficulty when trying to smash a zombie with a bat since ammo is scarce I hear. When a game gets too frustrating, I take a break from it as I did with Evil Within. When I returned, I was more focused and determined to complete it but with new clarity of what to do. Same with that next to final mission in Watch Dogs 1 where everything went haywire with the full force after you. Just find the one location on the map that the end goal will always appear at and ignore the false locations which shift to new spots after a few moments on the map. Very challenging, agreed. |
