Default Seinfeld in HD

sorry if this is already being discussed in another thread.

i recently watched Seinfeld on CRACKLE a few days ago. they have just a few episodes from the series. but towards the bottom of their short list they have the later ones (season 8) and it plays in HD. i thought it looked good, has anyone else watched these few episodes of Seinfeld on CRACKLE??

The image is nice enough but the framing isn't great. I'll post some comparisons I made from the Wish List thread. I'm not 100%, but all the episodes are mastered in HD, they were for the DVD release and these are the same ones airing today.

Yes, they'd have more luck in doing a 16:9 cut-out with an older show (esp sixties), as they used to have a lot of headroom then. With Seinfeld, the show is framed much tighter, so you can't really lose anything from the top, so you have to lose a lot from the bottom of the frame.

Unfortunately cutting out 1/4 of the frame pretty much ruins the framing of the shots.
