Default Kan Colle Movie Coming In 2016

Quote:
The staff at the "Dai-Ni-Kai 'Kan Colle' Kankanshiki" (2nd 'Kan Colle' Naval Review) event in Yokohama on Sunday announced that the Kantai Collection or "Kan Colle" franchise will get an anime film in 2016. The event screened footage that features the Kan-musume characters Fubuki, Mutsuki, Yūdachi, Akagi and Kaga, Hiryū Kaini and Sōryū Kaini, the four Kongō sisters (Kaini), Kitakami and Ōi, Chōkai Kaini, Yūbari, Mutsu and Nagato, Kako Kaini and Furutaka Kaini, Zuikaku and Shōkaku, Shimakaze, Kuma, and Ōyodo.

The final episode of the television anime series had revealed in March that the television anime would get a sequel. The anime's official Twitter account indicates that the movie and the sequel are separate projects that are going into production at the same time.

The TV anime series premiered on January 7 and Crunchyroll streamed it as it aired in Japan. The series is set in a world where humanity has lost control of the seas. The threat that has taken over the seas is the "deep sea fleet." The only ones who can counter this threat are Kan-musume (literally, warship girls), girls who possess the spirit of naval vessels from days gone by.

The base for the fleet arrayed against the "deep sea fleet" is Chinjufu. There, many various Kan-musume have gathered to live together and work hard everyday in training and other matters. One day, a Kan-musume arrives at Chinjufu. She is a special class of destroyer, and her name is Fubuki.

Kadokawa Games launched the original free-to-play browser game with the service provider DMM.com in April 2013. In the game, players compete with cards featuring female moe characters inspired by Japanese World War II warships such as aircraft carriers, battleships, and cruisers. Players build, organize, and repair their anthropomorphized fleet to progress through maps.

Kantai Collection Kai a PlayStation Vita port of the game directed by the original browser game's producer and director Kensuke Tanaka, will ship in Japan on November 26 after multiple delays.

I'm torn. I absolutely love Strike Witches but I really like Kantai as well. That's it we need a crossover between the two series right now!

I still can't believe no one here in the US has announced they got the license. I mean the show is pretty popular. I know the game is and form reading some of the forums most people enjoyed it.

And since Kan Colle is very close to being like the Moe Moe Daisensou games for PC, PSP, PS3, DS, Xbox 360 and 3DS, add that as well to the crossover. It would be epic.

They need to hurry up and release that game via market place for the consoles and handhelds. But first they need to translate it.

I'd buy them all if I had the money to import them now. Odd that no one has picked up the license here yet. I'm guessing they are still trying to work it out with the Japanese company.

I actually almost bought the blues from Japan yesterday. Sadly, they aren't English friendly. Shame.

Hopefully. If strike witches can get released, I don't see why this wouldn't.

It will definitely get released but I wouldn't bet on it being Funi doing it. To date they still have not released the Strike Witches movie and I can't see them going for such a similar series of they are hesitant to release that. I would bet good money that Sentai will be releasing Kantai over here at some point.

I can barely afford Sentai releases. Though would be easier if they were released in a retail store near me since I could buy it with cash(my preferred method).
