the picture isnt as sharp (LOL) and crisp as the 73 samsung 81 or 73 xbr5, but hey im sure u dont wanna spend 30k for a tv. Get it calibrated, get good cables, and get a good power conditoner. Then the 65SE94U, will be pretty good. Not bad, it looks like crap without the right gear to go with it, one thing, i was watching a preseason game on it, and it was horrible. just an opinion

For five grand you can get this instead:

Epson powerlite home cinema 1080ub

Honestly, the LC65SE94U is a great TV for the size and price of an LCD. The LC65D64U is definitely not worth it, just mediocre TV. The 94 series has very accurate color out of the box, although a calibration would help. The downfall is that it doesnt have very deep blacks. The smart sensor lighting helps (tv adjusts brightness, etc based on amount of light in the room). High def content looks good, Bluray content will come fairly close to the 70 inch models from Samsung and Sony, but they have LED backlighting, so they are 4-5 times the price.
