I think I might of gotten counterfeit copies of madoka

If anyone has the standard us releases of madoka on blu ray could you tell me what your didscs look like? Or even better post pics of them. I order them off ebay for 50 shipped but the discs look funny to me. Thank you!

What the...? Never thought I'd see bootlegs that look so similar to an AoA release, much less BD bootlegs.

Yeah, going off of that thread I'm 90% sure they are fake. If someone can post a picture of the bottoms of their discs i would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your quick responses!

haha I said the same thing as well. I remember talking about the bootlegs somewhere and they linked to that page. I was like wow...someone took a lot of time to make them look legit.

I don't have them sadly. I'm not sure if anyone has the non LE versions around here. All these people with there big AoA money.

Perhaps there would be less incentive to produce counterfeit AoA titles if, you know, AoA followed an acceptable American price model for their releases? $100 for 4 episodes is ridiculous and I will never pay it.

The final nail in the coffin, none of the discs play in my xbox one, because the XB1 can't play burned blu rays. I have contacted the seller and hopefully I will receive a refund without too much hassle. I guess from now on all my AoA purchases will be from rightstuff for exorbitant prices lol. Thank you so much for your responses!

I would file a PP dispute. I don't think the seller cares since clearly they are making bootlegs. Interesting that the XB1 won't play burned BD's. Then again the XB1 annoys me because the BD player is an app. I mean common! lol

There should be a little card called 'Aniplex Proof of Purchase' inside the case. All of the Aniplex products should have them.

That's one thing I noticed when people ended up with the Madoka bootlegs, as they didn't have the card.

Usually, if you stick with regular editions, the price is around $10 per episode.

The SRP for the limited edition sets was $94.98 when they were still available. Three sets, 12 episodes total = 4 episodes a piece. Aniplex and Pony Canyon will never get my business.

No one pays SRP and there are usually regular editions. You're not entitled to Limited Editions, so you can just get the regular ones. Kill la Kill was freakin' $40 for up to six episodes! You're comparing very different things as well; these bootlegs are just copies of the regular releases, which are all $40 and still available.

PonyCan is a different story. That's $80 shipped for four eps, not even guaranteed to be of "Japanese quality". That's not Sparta, that's madness!

Not all of their releases have regular editions. Blue Exorcist, for example, is premium only. Regardless, I don't support their business model at all, so I won't give them my business, even if I like several of their shows.

Blue Exorcist is just over $11 per ep in some rather fancy Limited Edition releases. That's very, very far from your earlier claim of four eps for $100.

In cases such as these, it would be nice if you stuck to the facts.
