Baahubali: The Beginning,is a 2015 Indian bilingual epic historical fiction film directed by S. S. Rajamouli. Produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni, it is the first of two cinematic parts.The film was simultaneously made in Telugu and Tamil and dubbed into Hindi, Malayalam and French languages. It features an ensemble cast of Prabhas, Rana, Tamannaah and Anushka Shetty in lead roles. Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, Nassar, Adivi Sesh, Tanikella Bharani and Sudeep appear in supporting roles . Baahubali: The Beginning was released worldwide on 10 July 2015 to positive reviews from critics, and it recorded the highest-grossing opening for an Indian film at the box-office.Currently it is the third highest grossing Indian film of all time worldwide and the highest grossing Indian film of all time based on gross revenues from India alone. It is also the first Telugu, South Indian and first non-Hindi film to gross over ₹500 crore (US$77 million) worldwide.

Looks like our forum entrepreneur Jerry James will have to work fast to launch his crowdfunded AwesomeBlu-Ray initiative, if he wants to include this film in his plans. With the announcement of the Malayalam dub on BD, how far away can the Hindi and Telugu versions be?

Hope this has hindi dub in the languages options, then it is a buy for me, or hoping for a hindi version, this movie is one of the most visually spectacular movies i have seen in my life, dying to get it

Or you can always watch the movie in its original language and read the movie with English subtitles.

Todd, these movies are kinda like the Italian films of the 70's etc which were made with a multi-lingual cast, so any language you watch, someone in the cast is dubbed in. Also the film being such a visual spectacle, people might prefer not to have their attention drawn to the text...or have family members that do not follow English. Whatever the reason, it's not a one size fits all solution.

sometimes dubbed ver will be much better than the original one(in terms of quality).
For example ssr's previous movie eega . API's malayalam dubbed bd(done by sunny) was much better than the original telugu ver released by Aditya video

FWIW, I saw the film theatrically in Telugu once and Tamil once, and both seemed okay, though I preferred the Telugu version. Hindi would have EVERYONE dubbed in, which would drive me batty, like the crazy ROBOT dub.

@irshad: Those screenshots make it look like black crush is an issue.

Actually maintaining perfect black is an issue. It could be in master, more lighting means shadows. They put lighting from his side back which results white wash image. First screenshot could be better, second is good.

Here is too much black area.

That shot of Prabhas is backlit, which means they would need to overexpose by a lot to get shadow detail in his hair. The wider dynamic range of the shot means that you don't get everything you want. It's just the nature of light.

The Tamil version would have bugged me if it was dubbed from the Telugu version. At least the lip movements matched the dialogue, even if some of the actors were dubbed by other people. The songs were better in Telugu, partly because of some pronunciation issues in Tamil.

Oh that is painful having the dvd out and then having to wait two weeks for blu ray, wish they surprise us and realese both on same day, this being a 600 crore movie bigger than pk, bajrangi bhaijan and dhoom 3.

Ashik bro are all blu rays coming out same day bahubali hindi, tamil , telegu , malyalam, there are so many different threads and we are totally confused, infobeam release, manorama music, telegu, tamil blu rays what is coming out and when

as of now, only malayalam(manorama music) and hindi(reliance) bds are annouced.both of them expected on oct mid week. Still no news on tamil or telugu versions
