Default Any reason I should not do this upgrade??

I have yet to find a flaw in this upgrade:

Klipsch KSW-10 to Velodyne DSP-10 for $100 (used/local)

plus the Klipsch will go to my best friend for a few bucks

Thanks in advance!

I just checked the specs on both, and I've had both Velodyne, and Klipsch subwoofers...not those exact models, but Velodyne was always a better sounding sub IMO. If the Velodyne is good condition, I say go for it.

Thanks for the advice! I got it and am enjoying it already! The only probem so far is that you have to determine the sub's volume by a series of blinking lights that do not seem to work as defined in the manual!

I played a little bit of the Dark Knight, and have run some Audessy calibrations. It sounds real good so far.. I noticed a difference already in that the Klipsch was a lot boomier, and the Velodyne is more of a natural blend of bass. I will update the thread with later impressions as well!
