Default Dawn of the Dead still Censored?

Does anyone know if the upcoming release of Dawn of the Dead (2004) is still going to be optically censored as with the previous US releases on DVD & HD-DVD?

Must. See. Zombie. Boobs. In. High. Definition.

Seriously, though, why on earth was it censored in America to begin with and why must the censorship continue?

If the scene was censored on the HD-DVD, chances are the BD will be the same.

Censorship, the horrible anti-freedom word, I'm shivering when I think of it

The part where the girlfriend was tied to the bed and turned into a zombie the birth of the zombie baby was cut for the theater. I did not think it was that graphic but I guess it had to be cut

It's just like Hollywood Censores would say: "Make War NOT Love!"

I am surprized that the Director would let that happen to there film?!

Actually, the birth of the baby was left intact, but the scene where Sarah Polley's character aims the gun at the infant's head was cut.

No offense but for all practical purposes that is exactly Uncle Sam's motto.

Interesting talk from someone from Europe. It's rare that we start them; often that we finish them; and I don't recall taking anything since we picked up that little sliver from Mexico next to El Paso.

Is this where this thread should go?

My point would get political thus it would end "censored" (Ironic considering the title of this thread) in this site. So I can't say more.

You know what ? those two pics in the thread, the one where the lady's breasts are censored with blood. I couldn't make a better point. I mean using blood and all the violence it represents to cover nudity which is natural.
