Ghostbusters DVD Pre-Order on Amazon - Blu-ray Forum

The new DVD set is announced, but not the blu-ray set. What is up with that?

Search is your friend. Possibly postponed due to the video game's delay.

Since they wanted to release the movies on Blu as a tie-in.

I know all about that, I just thought it was weird that the DVD set has a date of October 21st, yet no word on the BD. Why would they have a date for the new DVD set, but nothing else? Wouldn't they want to release everything all at once.

They may simply be going ahead with the DVD release. And holding back the Blu-Ray.

I'm sure they know people want the films...

However, the release was being done as a tie-in for the video game.

There was even a deal at Gamestop (IIRC), if you bought both. Hence the delay.

Why is there going to be another DVD release? There's already been two releases on DVD so far. What are they adding to this feature-wise to make it worth a possible triple-dip for any non-BD owners?

I do plan to get these on Blu-Ray when they come out, but I fail to see the need for another DVD edition.
