HDMI 2.0 is already dated!

My take on HDMI 2.0:
I want to buy a new Monitor to replace my 1080p/@120Hz.
With the coming upgrade to 4K, I want a monitor with 2160p/120Hz, preferably real 4K 4096x2160 rather than consumer 4K 3840x2160. I don't care much about ms and input lag since I don't want it for gaming. It should have 4K@120Hz with DisplayPort 1.3 and at least 10bit colour. 3D support, HDMI 2.0 and Adobe RGB would be a nice extra.
My favourite monitor for the past year has been the Eizo CG318-4K (http://www.eizo.de/monitore/coloredg.../CG318_4K.html), but it only has DisplayPort 1.2 @60Hz, over HDMI 1.4 only 30Hz. DisplayPort 1.3 will enable a 4K to operate at 120Hz.

Now if I wanted a new TV as well, there is for example the Samsung HU9000 (http://www.samsung.com/us/video/tvs/UN78HU9000FXZA) It has real 120Hz, consumer 4K, 3d and HDMI 2.0 (but it is curved ). But I think it's kind of defeating if you have a 4K 120Hz TV that can't input 4K 120fps and will therefore never be able to playback 4k@120fps. Of course there are also major benefits of 120Hz for non 120fps content, I'm not denying that!

HDMI 2.0 can only do 4K@60Hz, but I guess it will do at least 1080@120Hz.
I wouldn't be able to connect my PC to the TV and playback 120fps film content or gaming content.
Why isn't DisplayPort 1.3 implemented additionally to HDMI 2.0 into TV's, as it has certain advantages over HDMI 2.0 ?
Then there are cables like the superMHL, which can do up to 8k@120fps. Why aren't they implemented as they are clearly superior to HDMI cables?
Even Monitors with DisplayPort 1.3 are nonexistent at the moment as the Monitor market is dominated by 1440p@144Hz gaming monitors and professional Monitors are stuck @60Hz.

I really don't want to invest that much money into a television that isn't future proof in my perspective. (I'm ignoring 8K here.)
I think it's sad that the technology of tomorrow is already outdated.
So I guess I'm waiting for a television with HDMI 2.2 or 2.4 or whatever that will be...
But a monitor with DisplayPort 1.3 it will definitely be for me.

Anytime anything new is released, it's pretty much dated. They're always working on something new and improved. That's why I've decided I'm done "chasing" the next best thing, because there's always going to be the next best thing.

I'm looking forward to UHD 4K Blu-ray so as long as my equipment will put a true 4k image up on my 4K tv, then I'll be fine with that!!!

It took a while for DisplayPort 1.2 HBR2 chips to get released and the same will be true for DisplayPort 1.3 HBR3 chips. So far I haven't heard of anything that supports DisplayPort 1.3 HBR3 and my guess is that we won't see any products that support it until 2016/2017.
