Never heard of this one. Lot of big names in this. Animation and artistic style looks really good. May have to give this one a look over when it gets closer to release.

It's received good reviews. Looks like a potential Oscar nominee if it gets a limited release in the U.S.

Visually, it's a cool blend of CGI and stop motion. I hope the 3D is used well.

I just watched over half of this 3D Blu-ray and I really like the 3D. Not really any pop outs that come to mind, but nice layering. It's hard to find unless you know where to go or ordered the French Blu-ray. Funny how main audio track is English with American actor voices, yet it comes out in France first.

I didn't have any forced subs, so you probably will be good. Then again I run most of my Blu-rays through DVDFab which removes all region codes and store them as an .ISO (Disc Image) file on my 12TB hard drive to watch whenever I want through PowerDVD.

Verified The Little Prince 3D is region B locked.
English is the default audio with French as a choice on initial play.
Audio Choices: English Dolby TrueHD 7.1 or French TrueHD 7.1
Subtitles: None / English / French.

Haven't viewed the entire movie but there are two brief instances of a forced subtitle when "None" is chosen.
1) A French "For Sale" sign has the English briefly flashed on screen.
2) Driving in a car, the radio 'audio' is heard in English and an instance of a French sub is flashed once briefly on the screen.

End-film credits are in French, having name credits for 'Cast' French "voice" roles and ending audio/song is in French.
Edit: Found that the English "voice" role credits are posted after the end-credits & Paramount distributer image logo.

This looks like an interesting one. It has an all star American cast but it's a French film. Weird. It has great reviews and solid ratings but it appears as though it wasn't released outside France for some reason. I'll have to try and track down a copy...I'm a big fan of all the actors in this one and the story sounds really nice. 7.1 Audio as well!

It must be getting a US theatrical release. A poster (very similar to the cover here) has been displayed at one of our New Orleans AMC theatres for a month or so.

Yeah, the only thing I could find was on this site in the thread with the upcoming 3D releases. It has it listed as a March 2016 release. Guess we'll wait and see but I'll find it strange if it doesn't get released at least in the U.S. given all the Hollywood actors attached to it.

Just from looking at SBS screenshots online, the 3D depth is incredibly weak. Still probably worth seeing for a good story and good animation, but it's dropped out of my purchase wishlist.

Paramount just dropped out of distributing the film a week before it was scheduled to be released in the U.S.. Now, the film has to find a new distributor and no doubt will be delayed, and there could be a chance it doesn't come out in the U.S. at all.

I see from this thread that the French release is unfortunately region B locked. Is there an English friendly, region free release with both 3D and 2D versions, as I don't like to import but could see that making sense in this case if the price is right.

Online 3D trailers can sometimes be deceptive depending on the source, but if it's an official source and the 3D is mild, then that's not good if that's the case.

Thanks for that info. I was just looking at this in some site's 2016 list of upcoming movies they were anticipating. Guess they'll have to revise that list if this doesn't make it to the US this year.

Seventh Son 3D had to find a new distributor and it took a year before it was released afterwards, even though the film was long since completed.
