I knew that there was a good reason why I've procrastinated buying this movie on Blu-ray. I practically wore out my DVD many years ago, but I haven't revisited it in a while.

Although this title looks quiet good as is (http://www.caps-a-holic.com/hd_vergl...less=1#auswahl). House of Flying Daggers is in need of a remaster more, but is probably the least popular out of the two.

That's one I am certainly interested in upgrading.

What exactly are the differences between those limited editions and the reuglar mastered in 4-k ones, besides the case and Dolby Atmos track?

If you just have a 5.1 set up will Dolby Atmos downgrade to Dolby TrueHD 5.1?

The case with attached booklet is the only difference. The Atmos track will be on both releases.

Well, that makes the choice easy then. Thx.

Also, I think I'll just wait for the UHD 4k-BD mastered in 4k combo pack.
This way I'll save myself some money and get right to the meat of things.

Just because studios are doing 4K masters of certain movies doesn't mean those movies are coming out in the first, second, or even third wave of UHD releases. More recent movies will probably be in the first waves similar to what Fox is doing. So it could be a year or two or more before the UHD version comes out. My guess is the studio will determine when the movie will come out on UHD based on the sales of this 15th anniversary edition. So you might want to show the studio that you want this movie. If it doesn't sell well they could put the UHD release on hold.

Besides this 15th anniversary edition will likely be $15-$20 which isn't much to pay to hold yourself over until the UHD release.
