Australia Terminator Genisys (3D, 2D and SteelBook) 29/10/15 + UHD (20/09/17)

The year is 2029. John Connor, leader of the resistance continues the war against the machines. At the Los Angeles offensive, John's fears of the unknown future begin to emerge when TECOM spies reveal a new plot by SkyNet that will attack him from both fronts; past and future, and will ultimately change warfare forever.

Artwork not final thank god.

But at $44.98 they're having a laff...

ONE would HOPE that this artwork wasn't final !!!

and as for the price - well the Aussie Drachma/Peso has pretty much stuffed this year, so someone has to pay for it !! Even Apple is charging us more.

(would prefer the steel in 3D - doubt it though !)

The price usually changes closer to release. Depending on the artwork, I may cancel my Zavvi order.

Price went down AU$10 so it's the same price as the amaray.

In American dollars the price was $27.30 shipped to Europe

I thought it was an ok entry to the franchise. Sure, they spoiled everything in the trailer, but it was still enjoyable.

Specs updated with Audio codecs and Subtitles. Confirmed from Disc Scan (3D Disc and 2D Disc).

3D Disc:

Code:
Name: 00800.MPLS
Length: 2:05:42.993 (h:m:s.ms)
Size: 44,544,583,680 bytes
Total Bitrate: 47.24 Mbps

VIDEO:

Codec Bitrate Description
----- ------- -----------
MPEG-4 AVC Video 24922 kbps 1080p / 23.976 fps / 16:9 / High Profile 4.1
MPEG-4 MVC Video 9013 kbps
2D Disc:

Code:
Name: 00800.MPLS
Length: 2:05:42.993 (h:m:s.ms)
Size: 34,834,470,912 bytes
Total Bitrate: 36.94 Mbps

VIDEO:

Codec Bitrate Description
----- ------- -----------
MPEG-4 AVC Video 24616 kbps 1080p / 23.976 fps / 16:9 / High Profile 4.1

If anyone can tell me which is the correct Bitrate to add to the Database, I will do so.

Not sure which Bitrate it is.. 47.24 Mbps or 25?
It's neither. Total bitrate is the combination of the video stream/s plus the audio stream. In this case the bitrate is the combination of the AVC (base 2D stream) and the MVC (multi-view stream which makes up the other eye). So in this case the video bitrate is 33935kbps (33.94Mbps).

For anyone planning to buy JB's steelbook, be aware that there is only one hub inside. The bonus disc is running sloppy, just thrown into a clear sleeve and left to float around the case.

Confirmed extras on second disc:

Reset the Future: Constructing Terminator Genisys. A making of in six parts. Total running time: 1h39m

Battle on the Bridge: Multi-Angle Scene Breakdown. Total running time 10m05s

Worth a blind buy? So far I've liked every Terminator film

Although everybody seems to hate on the film, I actually walked away very surprised how good I found it. To me, it's miles better then Terminator 3 and Salvation. It's not going to blow you away, but if you go in with low expectations I feel you'll be surprised how it isn't all bad

Bought the standard version today with bonus disc. I asked about the steelbook but they said they had 16 on order but none had come in.

Really hard to say. Some hate it, some like it...I actually found myself not hating it, but it isn't even close to T1 or T2. But better than Salvation for me, for sure.
