Default Marine Aquarium. Review? Any owners? Any good?

Marine Aquarium. Review? Any owners? Any good?

Hey, stop laughing, I'm serious! I had read this was supposed to be a vast improvement over previous "screensaver" aquariums on Blu.

Well?

Cheers, Doc.

Believe it or not I planned to buy real Piranhas but I won't do it as they are a drag. I mean you gotta feed them everyday and a fair sized aquarium is expensive and so on.

Instead maybe I should just get this Bluray

I had some years ago -- or wait, since I live in NY I'll just say I imagined having them years ago -- and they were pretty simple to take care of. Part of the time I had them, back in high school, I worked in a pet store, so that made it easy, since I could bring home feeder fish every day.

After that though, I would just throw some meat in there, generally some of whatever I was eating (turkey, roast beef, ham, whatever).

The biggest downside is they will obviously eat other fish (though I was able to keep a pacu or two in there with them), and they get boring to look at after a while. Oh, and cleaning the tank is quite an experience.

But, like I said, that was all in my imagination, since they are illegal in NY, and about half of the rest of the states.

I been wondering the same thing, but you can search the Amazon.com reviews on the older one. Nothing on the new one yet.

Without going into history, I have a fascination for realistic virtual Aquariums. I really enjoy the ones on the Finding Nemo DVD, and PRAY TO GOD the blu-ray version improves that concept.

All I want is what Disney gives. A still aquarium with virtual fish. If I wanted panning and scanning I'll watch old Jock Cousteau reruns.

I also wish to know if this is a quality BD release. I don't want a one-dimensional turd floating on my 1080p 52-inch Sharp Aquos LCD.

For the person who stated that he has a REAL marine aquarium, good for you. For myself (and many others), we do not have the time to maintain a real tank. That being said, I would truly appreciate a high-definition aquarium on Blu-ray.

That being said, you can keep the Yule Log / Fireplace video.

I dunno... My Bravia gives off so much heat, I think a fireplace BD would turn my HDTV into a great source of warmth in the cold winter months...

If my TV heats up too much, I wonder if it would kill the fish in my MARINE AQUARIUM BD

Dear Holy F'ing God and the Man Jesus (aw, yeah... Dark Tower reference y'all) - won't somebody tell me if this release is any good?!?!?!?!?!?

Does anyone even know where to get it? Amazon has listed it as out of stock since release date. I would pick it up, if I could find it.

I wonder if Netflix has it.

I will NEVER rent an oldray DVD or a Blu-ray disc. They have GERMS encrusted all over the disc and the packaging. I don't want to get sick from an infected disc. They don't sterilize them between rentals and they need to. Even if you wipe it off with Purell, you can still get ptomaine poisoning from the germs on the rental disc. Most people are extremely dirty and don't wash their hands after using the toilet. I can only imagine the filth on a rental disc.

If you can, take some pictures, please. I want to know if this is a "still tank", pan & scan, combo, or just some dumbed down Jock Cousteau crap. Is there music, or just sounds of the ocean? Any narration?

I was interested in this too! It's out os stock on Amazon. I wanted to get a REAL aquarium but it's so hard to maintain a saltwater tank. I was thinking this would be a nice alternative.

Hello ZMan,

We aquarium buffs are still waiting to hear your review of the new Marine Aquarium BD. Have you had a chance to watch it yet? Feedback please. Thank you very much.

Saltwater tank are not as hard as everyone says. Plus a picture on the screen can not even come close to having the real thing 2or 3times larger than your screen unless you have a huge screen but even still you would see the same thing over and over.

As for this Blu I would pass, There are several other Reef/Ocean Movies coming out over the next few months that are way better
