Amazon "overpackaging" items/shipping Woes - Blu-ray Forum

Funny, I thought...but says alot that the company went the extra mile to ensure his 8 plates arrived unbroken yet they still complain

I dont think the story holds weight as those boxes to the left will not fit in the ones from the right

, and they all have those outer order stickers that Amazon puts on the boxes

that's where the post price guarantee went.....Had to pay for boxes

I don't believe this at all. The 8 plates probably came in the 8 boxes that are the exact same size and shape (7 on the left and 1 on the right.) The rest were probably from other things.

He probably figured that each plate coming in it's own box was ridiculous that he had to exaggerate it a little bit more to get some people to believe him.

Thats what I am thinking as well... from a visual look they dont even fit inside each other loosely enough to provide any added protection

I ordered a 8GB memory stick and I swear the box was 16x8x4. It was way overkill

yea they do overkill, look at the packaging for one dvd/bd...but they dont get damaged

The smaller boxes must be the one the the plates were in. Hmmm. 8 plates, 7 small boxes.

For the Blurays I have ordered through Amazon the Package resembled a smaller Pizza Cardboard pack
