Well, technically Kimchi isn't making this. The Blu Collection is. Kimchidvd is just the exclusive retailer to carry it. (I think, or it's a collaboration)

The Blu Collection has created multiple keep case exclusives. Inside Llewyn Davis, Mr. Nobody, Atilla Marcel, God Save the Girl, etc.

Ok, it was what i thinked, i knowk Blu collection, so it's not a part of Kimchi and Kimchi is not the exclusive retailer for Blu releases (you can find Blu releases in quite all koreans retailers).
So at this time and as far as i know, Kimchi has never made non steelbooks releases (but Novamedia yes).
I thought i could have missed something but obviously not.

My favorite film of 2015. Kinda overcome with excitement right now. This will be my 2nd of I'm sure MANY editions of this film.

Not in the least.

I didn't like it at all. I found it to be boring and unenjoyable. It's definitely not a movie that I will ever watch again.

I liked the film, but for me
[Show spoiler]the few incredibly forced jumpscares
ruined part of the film,
[Show spoiler]those can really make or break a movie for me when not implemented right, and in my opinion, they were really flat here.

If not for that, I would call it a great film, maybe even a new classic. Now, it's just a good film with an interesting premise to me.

That's really interesting, because that's the exact reason why I loved this film and find it to be one of the best horror films of the past 10 years, the lack of jump scares. There are only two in the film, and they don't feel forced at all. They are completely organic, and happen not only to the audience, but to the characters in the film as well. They are surprises in their surrounding that aren't set up with all the noise in the film cutting out and then super loud score (symbols crashing, stringed instruments being played frantically). They happen within the world itself, and are used to scare the people within the film as well as the audience. I feel like they were used perfectly.

Oh, I also appreciated the lack of jump scares (maybe I didn't communicate it right in my post), but I really can't call
[Show spoiler]"Jay and friends being chased into a beach house by the being, a hole breaking in the door, Jay crawling over to it and discovering that *SURPRISE* the cursed was still there!"
organic. It was very predictable to me, and those are the worst. I did like that the being had a different appearance all of a sudden, but it ends there.

For me, 2 of the best parts in this film is when
[Show spoiler]
1: The entity was the tall guy in a white short/no-sleeve coming into the room behind her friends
and
2: When it came up to her on the beach and grabbed her hair.
Both of the times it was COMPLETELY unaffected by the closeness of her friends and that, to me, made this movie stand out most of all
!
There was of course other parts that made me think this was a good supernatural thriller, but these was the most surprising (= the best).

I hadn't planned on double-dipping on this movie, but I might for this/these editions because I really enjoyed it!

Looking at the picture from the OP (lower right corner), It Follows will be a Blu Collection-produced movie exclusively released by KimchiDVD.

And since all previous KimchiDVD exclusives have been SteelBooks I'm crossing all fingers and toes for this one being a SB too

I would even be happy if it was a full paper slip with an amaray and booklet inside like some plain/nova releases, those are just as nice if not better than a bare steel in my opinion... I really loved the beginning of the movie, it sucked me in immediately and the music score was great... the end scene seemed a little hokey to me but I have only watched it once, sometimes I have to watch movies more than once to really appreciate them so I will give this one another shot

The rest of the packaging would have to be really bad or uninspired (which is highly unlikely) for me to pass.
