I wonder why Universal is putting this out and not Sony, Roger's label.

The way this was filmed makes me think it will be included in the film.

Too bad this isn't Pink Floyd The Wall. Is that ever gonna come to blu? I always wanted Waters and the rest of Pink Floyd to kiss and make up because neither has been as good without the other. But it never happened.

Roger Waters + David Gilmour: Comfortably Numb, Live, O2 Arena 2011 - YouTube
I wouldn't be too sure about that, you hear the song in the film but not David's voice but the vocalist who performed his parts for the tour.

Would be nice if it wound up as an extra on the Blu-ray along with this.

Incredible film, 4.5/5 in my opinion.

[Show spoiler]The introduction by Liam Neeson was very heartfelt and was a good start. I'm afraid I don't know enough about concert venues to know which stadium he was playing in, but if I had to guess I'd say somewhere on France due to his memorial speech before the concert. The production and cinematography was amazing and was intercut with scenes of Waters travelling to the military cemeteries of both his father and grandfather.

Also, (although I personally didn't get to hear it in Atmos at the local AMC), at the end of the credits I saw a note that said "Dolby Atmos in select theaters", so I'd say there's a decent chance it will show up that way on Blu-ray as well!

Also, I can say with a certainty that David Gilmour isn't on the main concert film that I saw last night, but I think that if the press release is to be believed they will be showing the O2 concert in the UK with him and Nick Mason joining Waters on the Blu-ray to be released in December.

Dolby's facebook made great mention that the movie was being presented in Atmos sound, just none of the DC metro area were being presented as such (damn it).

Yeah I was a bit disappointed by that. I had a free ticket certificate so I didn't have to pay but a few bucks for the movie, but for the $18 price point that they were demanding I would have liked to have seen them bump Everest from the AMC Prime lounge just for one showing at 8PM last night.

Caught this in theaters last night, what a great watch it was. The live footage was unbelievable. The amount of stellar musicians in Rogers current band really does The Wall justice. There was also a nice bit after the feature of a conversation between Roger and Nick Mason which was worth the wait. They answered a bunch of questions sent in by fans.

The only disappointment was my local theater wasn't equipped with atmos. Still a great watch.

I saw it and was disappointed. I loved the live show, saw it twice, but the editor had no sense of rhythm and killed the energy of the show. (and I'm not talking about the cutting to Waters driving footage) The you tube videos imho capture the energy of the show much better.

Saw the Wall in LA in 1980, and the RW version 2 times. Loved it all. Saw the Fathom Event last night and was equally impressed. Can't wait for the Blu-ray on 12/1. Was so glad they didn't edit, cut or delete any of the concert footage to make room for the addition "road trip" footage. Sound was awesome. Really would hope that the follow-on piece "The Simple Truth" will be included in the BR. Per Amazon pre-order, it does include the O2 appearances of Gilmour. And Mason as extras (Big thumbs up!). End credits even alluded to a soundtrack album as well.

They did cut small intro bits.

I remember the music was there as they segued from road trip back to concert. My main point was that they didn't cut any of the main tracks to jump to a documentary piece of footage with voiceover that broke the flow of the concert. With the exception of Roger playing the trumpet during the opening and the closing (which I thought was well done), the whole concert was left intact. At least to my memory

As individuals, I do prefer Gilmour to Waters. The Wall is a great album though! I will probably pick this up, especially since it appears it will include the O2 performance.

This is quite puzzling as one would assume Pink Floyd's The Wall would be released onto Blu-ray first.
Odd.
