FANTASIA -- Walt Disney's amazing and ambitious demonstration of the potential of animation -- is coming back to cinemas for two nights in November to celebrate the film's 75th anniversary. Before the film, the Philadelphia Orchestra will give a tribute and a performance.

Fantasia is my favorite film of all time, so I'm heading out in the morning to buy my tickets at the box office. Cannot wait -- what an unexpected treat!

Big thank you to whoever at Disney and Buena Vista put this together.

Awesome news but I don't think we in the UK will get this. I have the Blu Ray and DVD. It's an amazing film one of my favourite films of all time.

The description is vague...can't tell if the Philadelphia Orchestra is going to perform the score like Bugs Bunny On Broadway or just perform some sort of tribute at the beginning.

Get your tix now. Looks like most venues are only giving three screenings. Looking forward to more details on the presentation. Good to see the Philadelphia Orchestra involved...for those who don't know, they sued Disney for home video royalties in the 90's and lost. Glad they've got things patched up again.

Bumping for the Monday crowd...saw some footage of the Philly Orchestra's Fantasia live event -- it was a blend of Fantasia and Fantasia 2000, but also included Claire de Lune. I truly have no idea what this November theatrical presentation is going to show as their program. $15 a head is a bit steep, maybe there's a reason for that.

Yeah, I'm dorking out about this. Sorry. I just love this movie. And there's a concert version with apparently some 3D footage touring around Ireland.

Yeah but only very select places. I checked for theatres in Saskatchewan, it gave me lower North Dakota! Guess I won't be seeing this one.

Almost a dozen theaters showing in Phoenix alone. The website is jacked up. Try this: put in your city and state...the website will then inexplicably show you theaters in New York. Go back to the main page, your city, state and country will be there, select it, voila. Or just try Fandango.
