While I do agree with filmmusic's points, overall the 4K restoration is noticeably better.

Alright, I was just confused as they said it had both new discs which from my understanding only the first film was different.

When anyone gets the Blu-Ray, can anyone tell us how the picture quality looks? It would be much appreciated! I would do it but I am out of town for work and will not be back until Friday

I've also wondered the status of Amazon and Fox's relationship. It seems like none of Fox's upcoming releases are available for pre-order on Amazon.

I got the Stand alone reissues from Bestbuy.com today. First film is authored using same menu system but is clearly the new transfer. Looks great. A little dark at times but great. Second film is the exact same disc just repackaged with a new cover and iTunes/uv code. Second film didn't come with a slipcover but the first one did. I also saw at Target the two-pack with the hat. It appears that it loses the DVD copies, but retains the DigitalHD copies and gains a hat. I haven't been to Best Buy yet but I'm planning to go later. Was going to see if they had the paint can version.

Can you confirm the second has an iTunes digital copy? If you look at the back covers on this site, only the first includes UV/iTunes and the second makes no mention of iTunes.

Bestbuy isn't carrying this in stores until next week it looks like. You can order it online however.

Boston Fenway had about three of the exclusive set in stock. I ended up having to price match the website because it was ringing up at $19.99. I have yet to check out the disc itself too much, but I... think it uses the new transfer? I honestly can't tell without a direct comparison. It looks solid, but I've been wrong before. I wish they hadn't just reused the original menu so that I could be surer.

Anyhow, it's nice having the DCs and both movie in one case at least.

Did it come with iTunes for both? Just put a copy on hold but not sure if I'll pick it up.
