just wondering f anyone has a subscription to this magazine......esp. anyone here in the states.

was wondering if it comes wrapped in a plastic bag or anything at all??

I'd just hate to spend $60/year on a subscription only to have them come all f**ked up.

I picked up a copy every couple of months.....but would love to get the covers that are sent out to subscribers.

I read somewhere on the publishers website that they will send a replacement if it gets damaged. Not sure if they still do that but worth looking into. The publisher is Bauer Media Group.

I got the magazine subscription for a year before switching to a digital edition. Yes, it comes in a protective plastic sleeve. I guess that will be the same anywhere else.

I've had one for a couple years, and I have never received one damaged.

As a matter of fact, I get a lot of compliments on them because the magazine is SUPER glossy and always a good read.

My recent Star Wars issue has been on rotation to friend's houses.

did you get the BB-88 cover??

that's the one that kind of sparked me into wanting to get a subscription.

that and barnes & noble hasn't gotten the current issue in yet.

no biggie though, i found the regular edition on ebay for $9/shipped.

it's $10 at barnes & noble.

the one i got en ebay is the one w/Kylo Ren.

the one i really want to try and find is the one w/just BB-88 on the cover.

for anyone that has the subscription.....they have members only/subscribers covers once in a while don't they??

pretty sure the BB-88 is a subscribers only cover.

i also remember a kick ass one for The Winter Soldier a while back.

The subscriber cover is. On newstands you can choose from Harley, The Enchantress or Deadshot. Presumably they have a newstand version of The Joker as well.

I've been a subscriber for 5 years and bought them monthly from newstands for many years prior to that. Best magazine by far, I love it.

i fully agree.....i've decided that for $10 a pop......i'm better off dropping $60 on a year subscription.

It does. Also on the rare occasion it's ever been damaged, they've replaced it without question. Took them a while to send the replacement though, I think they have to wait to reprint or something.

Yeah, great read. Deadlines are a bit annoying though. Thought Spectre would have been in the reviews. I could read it online but then that spoils the read next month.

Been buying it for 20 years. I don't think the reviews are quite as good as past years though. Less content IMO. I really enjoy the articles though and features like the slate.

what'll be nice w/a subscription.....i won't be a month behind anymore.

not sure if it's just a thing over here in the US.....but the issue on the stands is always a month behind.

most magazines on the stands right now would be the November issue w/the December one coming in a few weeks.

w/Empire, it was always whatever month we were in caldendar wise, that was the issue on the stands.

just out of curiosity, i'm swinging througe barnes & noble on my way home after work to see if they have the October issue in yet......even though i bought one on ebay earlier this week.
