This is great. I still have shamefully not seen this film. I do have it in a Hannibal Lecter set I picked up earlier this year so maybe I should wait for Shout's release to see it?

You should watch it now if you have not seen it before we have a long wait for it to come out.

I normally don't like double-dipping, but this is a Day 1 purchase for me. If they want to include that "director's cut" that was on the Anchor Bay DVD years back as a bonus, fine, but please keep the theatrical cut intact as is. If there's some new special features, like a retrospective, all the better.

Lets hope this is one of the better Collectors editions from Scream (Phantom of the paradise, Nightbreed, Ginger snaps) and nothing like some of their awful releases (lake placid, garbage pail kids, Terror Train)

Lots of features please including a lengthy doc and new (and old) commentary

Haven't upgraded to blu yet for this one (I bought the Hannibal 3-film dvd set that includes a widescreen disc of the original cut of Manhunter), just might pick this up if the extras are good.
