United Kingdom Black Cats (Arrow Blu Ray)

I watched The Black Cat (Fulci) last night as part of my Halloween viewing. While I feel not one of his best it certainly is a good watch.
PQ was generally excellent.
Looking forward to Your Vice Is A Locked Room.

It is Dickie, thought it deserved a thread of it's own as it was kind of being drowned out I think by the Hellraiser set.

My copy was dispatched yesterday so hoping it turns up on Monday. If not then I'll bombard Amazon with a negative review and start hate-posting here about some screencaps

Lovely set. I've watched Your Vice... already and I'll be watching The Black Cat after I pick the kids up later tonight. Good extras as well.

Justin Harries floating around The Strange Vices of Ms. Fenech documentary puts you off your stroke a bit though

Yeah, I wish there was a stills gallery of all the tons of great pictures of her that are partially covered up by fisheye lens guy.

I know right lol. I didn't know it was only 3000 until I looked at the back of the box. That said I ordered it cause I liked the look of the set & I had never seen either film & as a fan of Giallo & Fulci I had to fix that. Your Vice was very good & gonna sit through Black Cat right now.

I watched both films this evening, and I have to say I enjoyed Your Vice a lot more than The Black Cat - it's definitely a lesser Fulci, but it does have a strong atmosphere and some cool shots.

Both films have superb transfers IMO. I could see why some people might be a bit sniffy regarding the brightness levels, but they both looked very good to me.

I just saw The Black Cat & have to agree I also enjoyed Your Vice more which surprised me since I've never seen anything by that director before & enjoying a lot of films by Fulci. What post card did you guys get with your copy? Mine came with 2 of The Mutilator. I wish it'd have been the Battles one instead though. I really like that one.

Ordered my Cats Box direct from Arrow. Only 10 days shipping to Australia.

Had Tenderness of the Wolves post card in "The Black Cat".

Watched "Your Vice" over the weekend. Amazing restoration work. The booklet was truly a fantastic inclusion. Excellent extras. Despite the whole "black" argument going around, if you own it & have watched it, it's pretty hard to not appreciate the work involved in making these two films available on blu-ray for the first time. And if the colour of the "black" was your most important focus whilst watching "Your Vice", I dare say it's possible you have no appreciation for Ms Fenech's captivating on-screen talents, or Martino's incredible directorial style & story telling skill.

This was truly worth the purchase price, and is possibly my favourite Arrow release for 2015, followed closely by Bava's "Blood and Black Lace".

slightly tangenting, a lot of Fulci's Black Cat was shot in West Wycombe in Buckighamshire, just off the m40. The Dashwood Mausoleum, used at the end of To the Devil a Daughter is on the big hill that overlooks some of the roads seen in the film.
West Wycombe hasn;t changed much since Black Cat was shot, and is well worth a visit and look around if anybody's heading throogh Bucks on the motorway
