DOLBY ATMOS QUESTION and SPEAKERS HELP

Hi i am thinking of getting LEON Leon - New 4K Restoration due to face transfer etc.I have YAMAHA AV Receiver latest model that is Dolby Atmos etc and i have 5.1 set up only due the size of my living room i am told it to small to get 7.1.I dont have Dolby Atmos speakers yet but might be getting some time soon.My question is if i buy the BLU RAY can i still get 5.1 DTS normal sound ? or how would my AV Receiver output the sound to my speakers in 5.1 if i don't have the Atmos speakers.Thank you.

I believe Atmos will "downscale" to Dolby TrueHD if you don't have an Atmos system.

You don't need to get speakers specifically for Atmos. You can use standard bookshelf speakers, satellite speakers, or even in-ceiling speakers for the height channels.
