Interesting. This would suggest that rumours of MGM having regained the rights are untrue, for the UK at least.
And it's one of the better Panther movies, imo. They started to creep downhill after this one. And fell right off the edge, after Sellers died. |

Maybe so. I just would've thought that if MGM owned it, they'd keep it for this box-set they're supposedly planning.

I still have more or less 130 DVDs in my collection. Most of them are French movies. Don't ask the Frenchs to realize that we are in 2016 in few days, they still think DVDs are good products...
![]() Of all the films I still, unfortunately, own on DVDs, 4 outstand them all: A Shot in the Dark The Return of the Pink Panther The Pink Panther Strikes Back The Revenge of the Pink Panther On January 2016, one quarter of the biggest historical mistake in film industry will be corrected: TRofPP will be released in 1080p fullHD, it's Day One buy for me! Can't wait for Inspecteur Jacques Clouseau de la Sūreté Nationale aka Guy Gadebois for the ladies, the swine parrot, the blindman and his munkey, Lady Claudine, Lugash, Gstaad, Commissaire Charles Dreyfus, Cato, Pepi, etc. ![]() |

Thanks. Disappointing news, but par for the course from British releasers.

It's really a shame about the Pink Panther movies. MGM Home Entertainment has a huge library of titles, the entire United Artists library being part of it, yet they stopped releasing blu-rays, except for constant repackaging of the Bond movies. The Pink Panther films would make a great set, especially if they could lease (if they don't now have rights) to Return of the Pink Panther. These films should have been released on blu-ray a long time ago. I'll wait and see some reviews on ROTPP, but I suppose in the end we'll have to get it to complete any MGM set if it ever comes out.
