I bought mine at TRU, and got 2 years warranty, I think it was like $40. I always buy it for my consoles

nope. ive never gotten an extended warranty for anything. 600 bucks for a ps3 it better last longer than ANY warranty! so far almost two years and good as new!

Only for my first one, which of course has out lasted my other ones. But thank god they were still under factory warranty when they acted up.

Bought the 3 year warranty through Target when I got the 60GB after the $599 to $499 pricedrop.

I bought a two or three year extended warranty from Game Stop with mine for around $40 (I think). Most often I don't buy those types of plans. However, given the expense involved, and the fact that it was a launch day purchase, I didn't want to chance it on a brand new piece of hardware.

Had it been a $299 purchase or so, I would have stuck just with Sony's 1 year warranty.
