If Gift Card purchases qualified, I'd be all over this... I could do it twice, combined with the $20 AMEX deal (with $199+ in purchases) and save $40 on $200! But they're wise to the way I think. Darnit!

Yeah, I just noticed that. You may be right. They've never done this deal only for select people in the past. The $5 or "mystery" codes, sure. But not codes for buying something.

I never get promo emails from them, so I wouldn't know if I qualified on not.

EDIT: I asked in this thread on the Best Buy customer forums about the deal. We'll see what they say.

Cool, I was waiting for another BB rebate at ibotta. I always end up getting those because, fortunately, the $100 in purchases doesn't have to all be on the same receipt. You can accumulate separate smaller transactions until you hit the $100 cumulatively.

Also, they often have separate rebates for BB.com that they run at the same time. Usually the same deal, so you can potentially get $5 for spending $100 in store and $5 for spending $100 online. I don't know if they are running both now, but in the past they always seem to run them together.

I'm hoping around BF they will bring back the $10 rebate for spending $100 like they had last year.

These 5.00 or 10.00 coupons are cheap IMHO, its not substantial. Sure 5.00 will get you a movie in their bin and $10.00 is ten dollars off something, I get it, but its not really all that much, just more movies in their cheap bin or a new blu ray release with 10.00 off ?

I was told that the deal is only for people who got the email, which is a first for this kind if deal.
