That came out of nowhere. Much as I love the show, the price is a bit on the prohibitive side.

There have been German and Aussie pre-orders up for sometime but its good to see a UK release now. Zavvi is bit cheaper.

Will pick it up at some point,

wish they would have just released them the same time as the DVD's.

DVD set = £19.99
Blu ray set = £69.99

crazy.

This is only €63 so around £50 from Amazon.de so keeping my pre-order with them. As with many of these recent Universal boxsets they are much cheaper in Europe than UK.

Yeah the menu setup should be the standard Universal one that doesn't have any writing.. just symbols. Like the Eureka set from Germany (hopefully).

Better Call Saul and Person of Interest Series 3 are cheaper on Amazon de also. Although not released here picked up Justified series 1 -5 blu rays at 14 euro each there also.

Having failed to kill off HMV can't understand why Amazon UK are adopting HMV's over the top prices for new releases.

Didn't the French Battlestar Galactica set have French only menu screens? Hopefully Universal don't make a habit of that and included multiple language menu screens (or at least include English language ones).

They sometimes vary. The German set of Caprica doesn't have a French language option and is missing some of the features (mostly the music score selections) listed as being on the French disc.

The German release of House ( or Dr House as they called it) has English option menu selection - applicable really to the copyright warnings as the main menu is those icons . The discs have UK,ROI, German, French and Dutch rating symbols - basically the same discs EU wide.

Only Caprica, where for some reason the French version which came out years ago only had French menus but is English friendly, whereas the European version which came out this year explicitly excludes French ! So think it was a one off

Got the French BSG ultimate set as complete unlike UK and much cheaper. On the other disks some even have BBFC logos.

Given Universal are releasing W13 in UK, Australia and Germany within a few weeks of each other it's going to be the same disks. I can put up with a German language box to get it half price.

So glad this is coming out. Waiting for the hmv and base.com to put their price up and the prices to come down before I replace my German order. I would prefer to have English on the front but if the German set remains the cheapest then no big deal.

So, this is now down to £64.99 on Amazon UK...

A little closer to the Amazon.de price of £49 delivered to the UK...so is having it in English worth the extra £16???

Hmmm....

Or is it just worth waiting a few months for the price to drop?

That's what I'm doing but I will have 9 seasons of the x-files to watch while I'm waiting for the price to drop.

For me I am in that frame of mind. English front and I know the delivery date where as the German I am not sure when it will get delivered.

Anyone know if the disc number for the UK & German listings are simply inaccurate on the two Amazon sites?

Amazon UK says 15 discs
Amazon DE says 16 discs

Although, Amazon are quite well know for their lack of accuracy in this department...

JB HI-FI Show this has 19 disc's for the Aussie Region B version.

they are rarely wrong from my usage of the site unlike amazon.

so first The walking dead S5 is released in AU almost a clone of the Region A Box-set unlike the European version which are a lot less filled out and now we get a larger 19 disc supplement Box-set of Warehouse 13 over the European 15/16 disc's

they really do not like giving us any decent sets here in the UK

i have also noted that the french have a lot of nice slipcovers on their releases compared to our drivel which now mostly do not even come with one..
