Default Where do you buy your movies??

Couldn't find a previous thread on this but if there is one already, sorry. I would search and my screen would bo blank.

I recently got a promotional offer in my email for a buy 1 get 1 free from Columbia House. I've belong to the movie club for about 5 years now and pretty much only buy when deals like this come along.

This got me wondering, where does everyone mainly buy their blu's??

I've gone anywhere from my local Best Buy & Wal-Mart to Ebay to Columbia House.

Where do you get your blu's and who seems to have the best/most deals available??

Best Buy and Amazon. If I feel like putting up with a bunch of feebles (which is hardly ever) and they have an unbeatable price, I'll go to Wally World.

BB or Target. Fry's when they have good sales but it's a little out of the way for me.

Not really a patient person.
I rather pay a bit more and take the item home with me and be using it within 20 minutes.

Best Buy or Circuit City usually.

This applies to both hardware and media!

If I'm buying when they first come out and want it new, I go to Best Buy, Target, or Circuit City depending on the price. If there is a tie, I go Best Buy since I get reward points.

Otherwise, I buy used from a local shop called the Exchange. (They sell used Blu-ray, DVD, CD, and Video Games. They test all their used movies, and I've never got one in bad shape or that didn't work. You cant beat their prices if you can find a movie you want.) I got the collection of all 4 Die Hards on Blu-ray there for $40, and I got the 2nd fantastic 4 movie on Blu for $12 about 3 weeks after it had come out. I'm not sure if they have these local type shops elsewhere (or if they are as good in other places).

I will also occasionally get a movie online from Amazon or DeepDiscount, but only if it is an extremely good sale.

it depends on where the sale is, i made a commitment to myself to not pay more than $15 for a blu ray, unless its was a special situation, like the kill bill 2 pack, and the dark knight when that is released, but besides special situations like that, i just go where the deals are, using my trusty amazon wish list to keep all the titles im looking for organized, but it usually ends up being amazon or best buy if im looking to not have to wait for it to ship

Future Shop. I like to have the BD in my hands and walk out... also can browse other titles and pick up a few blind buys if the itch is strong enough.

That "itch" can be a pain sometimes!
I agree on the *in hand* aspect.

Always at BestBuy to get the RZ points. There has yet to be a time when I haven't price matched to somewhere else though by pulling up the ad on my iPhone. It's an easy way to get the best price plus points for future discounts.

Although I live in the UK, I try to buy all my Blu's from the States (movietyme.com). Purely because your cases are thinner over there so they take up less space on the shelf.

Strictly Amazon since I live overseas in a country that doesnt offer that kind of stuff. I usually get the product within about 10 days, which I have gotten used to. When a new blu-ray comes in its usually like Christmas!

Best Buy usually followed by Circuit City, Blockbuster, Target and Walmart. If I can't find it locally, I'll usually get it at Amazon.com.

Well, it was that way anyway. Lately, I've been buying a lot from Tower.com.
