I have noticed that Disney's/Buena Vista's audio has been all over the map lately. They some times go with True HD or Uncompressed now I see according to http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/sleepingbeauty.html the audio for Sleeping Beauty will be DTS MA 7.1 I don't know why Disney doesn't stick with one type of lossless audio. I do not want to kick a gift horse in the mouth (because they could be like Warner and just give us Dolby Digital 5.1
![]() I know Disney/Buena Vista used Uncompressed PCM on all early releases like most studio's but after they made the switch to True HD they put PCM on Season 4 of Grey's Anatomy, Kill Bill and Kill Bill Volume 2. Last edited by Canada; 09-18-2008 at 06:37 AM. |

Not True, for there advanced codecs they have used plain DTS at 1.5 MBPS, DTS HD at 3.0 MBPS, PCM 7.1, and DTS MA 7.1 that is it I belive for there advanced codecs. They have not used True HD to my knowledge.

They also used DTS MA 5.1 on Rambo II & III ![]() I believe those plain DTS track where actually DTS EX soundtracks.. and you are right about Lionsgate's lack of TrueHD. Last edited by saginawjuggalo; 09-18-2008 at 01:07 AM. |

That's what the press release says, and Disney's official Blu-ray site. But Disney's dedicated Sleeping Beauty Platinum release site says DTS-HD MA, and the email reply I received today from BVHE reads:

I confess I find the (bolded) caveat amusing; it's not exactly an unequivocal confirmation. Since they're most likely the source of the press release spec-ing PCM, it would seem that someone somewhere is out of the loop. I suppose we won't know for certain until screeners start arriving? |
