I'm sure I'll get this at some point, definitely in the sub-$10 range though. Entertaining enough but I preferred Van Helsing or Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters since they had more fun with things.

I really wanted to enjoy this but truth be told I really struggled, its only real redeeming factor was Rose Leslie..... Can't justify the Blu Ray price just for her though.

Ya, I was excited to see her in the movie. But, after all the negative reviews, I will just give it a rental.

Awful, simply awful movie.

Seeing it had Caine and Wood plus kick-ass Diesel, I hoped for at least an entertaining rental.

God, did I have my expectations set too high.

It must be fairly bad if you felt Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters was better. That was a rather sub-par offering as-is (way too much swearing in place of character development and crassness instead of charisma or plot), and while I enjoyed certain aspects, it ultimately fell flat on its face.

If this is worse than H&G, that's a big shame considering the premise seemed interesting and the effects didn't seem terrible either.

Hansel & Gretel was better & more entertaining because they actually hunted witches & killed them in violent & interesting ways while there wasn't very much going on in The Last Witch Hunter in terms of hunting them & killing them.

Not sure why this movie got the reviews it did. It was entertaining and I think the review here nailed it dead on... just needed a fuller plot with more back story on the characters. If it had that it really could of been an amazing movie imo. Overall glad I rented it and will probably buy it down the road.

I enjoyed it but I agree with others that Hansel and Gretel was better, the action set pieces were bigger and nuttier. I'd go as far as saying I enjoyed Season of the Witch more as well. I do plan on getting this but only when it hits $10 or less.

It just didn't feel as epic as it could have, decent start at world building but I doubt it will go beyond this entry.
