Too many films left off the list to make this a worthy thread - the most glaring omission being SW

With all the people demanding Star Wars, I mean, some folks think that Star Wars isn't Sci-fi! https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...=60484&page=36 *LOL*

But out of that list... Blade Runner, my first exposure to really good Sci-fi.

Currently Sunshine closely followed by Independence Day, Aliens or maybe Serenity.

I really like several of the ones you listed though.

I got that covered, the General came back in time from fighting Marky Mark Wahlberg and created a giant ape, and when that didn't work {because it got defeated by Adrien Brody's nose} he created a planet of the apes.

Bit of a tough one as I had a toss up between Blade Runner, 2001, Alien and Aliens, but being as I just watched Alien this weekend, I will go with that.

As others have said, a lot of films missing from the list. what about Dark Star ??

No STAR TREK films??? This poll really sucks!!!

Because of the lack of Roddenberry created content I had no other choice but to vote for 'The Matrix.'

Although I'm not a Star Wars fan, I am also very disappointed that it doesn't appear on the poll. It is, after all, one hell of an epic Sci-Fi franchise.

Out of the list, The Matrix. Although, I would have voted Star Wars if listed.

i posted something similar in another thread.

star wars is much more fantasy, than it is science fiction. people think because it has space in it, its sci-fi, but there are many more elements of a fantasy movie than a sci-fi movie with Star Wars.
