PS3 up conversion... - Blu-ray Forum

hey I was wondering how to know if my ps3 is upconverting my standard def dvds and what all of your settings are under the image quality adjustment. What does everyone have set for Frame Noise reduction, Block Noise Reduction, Upscale, and Super White. Thanks for your help

all you have to do is press the PS button. If the letters look sharper and smaller then your dvd is being upconverted. If they look kinda big and jagged then its not. Do this while the movie is playing.

also if your tv tells you what display mode it is in when you push display or info on your remote, and it says higher than 480i/p then you are good.

didn't know there was a frame/block noise reduction setting, but my upscaling is on normal, and RGB set to full. Super white is on, but don't know if it works.
