They have to cancel it now without Stallone.

Sylvester Stallone is almost 70. He's too old to do anything else with the First Blood Series as a star (or any other action series he did in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s). He could still edit, produce and write them, however. If Creed is as good as everybody says it is, he should stick to that.

And Arnold Schwarzenegger should ditch The Terminator Series as a star (or any other action series he did in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s). He could still edit, produce and write them, however.

I think it'll be interesting to see if they can pull this off. When I was a kid I remember seeing Starman(John Carpenter film) about 10 times in the theatre and the prospect of it as a series really didn't sit well with me because I didn't think anyone could take over the role. Robery Hays did an incredible job as the character and its still one of my favourite childhood shows.

Still trying to figure out when and where Rambo had time to get laid let alone have a son...

Rambo is a lone ranger type of movie. It won't work as a TV show because it won't have the budget or the locations to make it what a Rambo TV show should be.

Stallone did "Over the top" in the early 90's which was a father/son type affair. Although I enjoyed it, it didn't exactly set the world alight.

If the Rambo TV Series has Rambo's younger version (or son?) moving from one town to another trying to evade the bad guys and live a simple life, with some form of Trautman in there to some degree (Crenna no longer alive), that could work once fans accept it's not Stallone as the lead character. I'd watch it if it captures the style of First Blood and Rambo IV's gory action.

But I really wish Stallone would give Rambo one more round. If he's able to do Expendables, he can perform Rambo one last time. I don't care how old Rambo is, as long as he can use a weapon and take down the bad guys, even if he has to use a cane while doing it.
