Amazon Did Amazon remove lower price form?

I don't see the "Tell us about a lower price" option on Amazon's product pages anymore. It used to be listed along with the "Would you like to update product info or give feedback on images?". Personally I simply buy from the lower priced competitor, but this was a nice feature for those who found a lower price elsewhere but prefer shopping on Amazon.com. When did Amazon make this change and is there another way to report lower prices now? Just curious.

I noticed that the other day too and it appears that they did remove that feature.

Yes they did. I posted this here a day ago as well.

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...8&postcount=66

I was going to make a separate thread for it but didn't think it warranted one.

Now I messages AMZ on FB about this and they said that it was under or near the

"Would you like to update product info or give feedback on images?"

I clicked and looked and didn't see it. So either they are lying which isn't something new and or only certain items have it. I tried three movies and none of them had it. I suggest everyone that has FB or Twitter question them about it. As it is stupid not to have that anymore. Again not that it matters as I buy from other places but sometimes it is good to have them as a option.

I used to have 200-300 orders per year from them, but now I'm at about 22 orders for the 2015 year... they've REALLY dropped off the radar

They barely even used it anyway, and if they did it was from retailers they were going to match already.

I've seen them PM Best Buy and made that price for Prime only.

As for my usage of Amazon, like everyone else, it has decline greatly in the past few years because of the following:
They raised the shipping charge on individual media from 2.99 to 3.99.
Raised FSSS from $25 to $35
Started taxing NJ residents.

While true it isn't entirely true. The button was a good way for us to be able to report say stuff that was chaper for preorder at other places. Now with the button gone you can't report if a store has it cheaper. AMZ will now just wait till release day to PM.

My Amazon orders last year fell by almost 50% to 49 total, and a couple of those were replacements. In one instance I ordered, the package was seemingly lost (at almost the destination) and the tracking not updated for a week and a half before I noticed it. As soon as I contacted Amazon then it was a very smooth, blame free, process to get a replacement order sent out, but afterwards I did wonder how long it would have taken before they contacted me to let me know that the package was mia, if ever.

Amazon is getting too cocky for their own good, and this is coming from a Prime Member.

I had an order that was waiting to come back in stock. I got a shipping update on it that it was gonna arrive by so-and-so date. But when the date passed, I got in touch with CS. The system hiccuped on that item, so they bumped me up to free One-Day Shipping and I got it the next day. There was another item that shipped during Christmas week on a Sunday, didn't arrive by end of Tuesday. Both times, I got comp'd a credit. One Christmas present I ordered also took its time to ship from a third-party fulfillment with Amazon's backing. When it finally did ship, I got comp'd the money I paid for it and made off with a free gift. These were the worst instances I suffered.

With the Lower Price prompt, I don't know if it's because they expanded out their lower price searching (or will surely monitor major competitors and do adjustments during the same day the price is found), or what...

So yeah, I noticed this today too. I was reading about Sicario being 19.96 in Wal-Mart stores and figured I'd submit that. When I saw it was gone, I was a bit peeved, so I started a chat with a CS rep. Which went absolutely nowhere. She just said "it's not available for this item". I mentioned that this is only turning customers away and she said she would pass that feedback on to the appropriate department.

Oh well, my business will be taken elsewhere.

Just wait till Amazon has "store brand food".

I've asked about this(long before anybody mentioned it in a thread) before Christmas.

Amazon bases price match(and the lower price tool) on sell-through.

Same, exact, criteria used to decide what goes "prime members only".

Had this happen to a coffee brand I was getting from Amazon. Was in my subscribe and save. Then it dropped out of SnS. I then bought it one at a time using the price match tool(based on the prices I was paying). Then it went "prime only"(without the price match).

Then it disappeared altogether. I googled it...and apparently the company discontinued the flavor.

So...lots of things contribute here.

So don't use the AMZ lockers for shipping lol.
I tried this and if the lockers are full after 3 tries UPS ships it back. It wouldn't have been so bad if the item I had shipped wasn't OOP and they can't send a replacement. Pretty crazy...
