Playing back the Atmos track (the only English language option on the disc) through my 5.1 system, the dialogue, which mainly means the narration, was absolutely buried in the mix, with music and effects thoroughly overpowering it. I would assume the problem lay with my system’s downconversion from Atmos to 5.1, except I’ve played many Atmos discs on it in the past, and only ever had the same issue with one other disc (Nightmare Before Christmas 3D).

The review here does mention that the dialogue does get buried occasionally. But describes the problem as “minor”. That may mark the difference between decoding it as Atmos vs 5.1, but I would describe the problem as major. So bad, in fact, that it rendered the film unwatchable for my family and me.
