Finally got it's UK release date, Directors Cut too
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Green-Infern...nferno+blu+ray Been waiting to see this for over 2 years now, Germany is getting the Theatrical cut. Italy is getting Theatrical and Directors Cut. The French release apparently has forced subs. Lots of mixed reviews, hope it's as good as Knock Knock ![]() |

Is there much difference between the theatrical cut and director's cut? I saw this screened at a festival and thought it was ok. Expected more explicit images given the people involved and ended up liking the movie more for the satire. Oh, and it's definitely better than Knock Knock which felt even more tame in comparison.

I meant Welcome to the Jungle. God, that was so boring. I do quite like the look of The Green Inferno... even if the victims appear to get all tikkad up first

It's odd that the US and UK editions are advertised as the Director's Cut then, another marketing gimmick?
The German forums stated they were only getting the Theatrical cut, how odd! Italy are deffo getting 2 different versions, one maybe censored though, a rare thing for Italy! |

I wasn't a big fan either but probably the most watchable thing from the Eli Roth catalogue of mediocrity. I didn't know it was going to be as humorous as it turned out to be, there's a bunch of scenes that had me laughing but I'm not sure of the intended tone exactly so not sure how much of it was done on purpose (much like the hammy acting and iffy line delivery). It's deffo more Ferox than Holocaust. Some good KNB SFX so worth watching just for that in my opinion.
I didn't like any of the plotlines setting up a possible sequel; pass on that. If anything it's a new entry in a genre long thought dead so respect for Roth getting it made,I can imagine it was a challenge! |

Agreed. It worked well within the genre, and for all the flack this movie seems to be getting I do admire Roth for having done this movie. Who else is even interested in reviving 70s cannibal movies?
