Other than the graphics, I like the fact that they added the living rosters feature that constantly updates team rosters with any rookies or trades made. You guys are getting this right?

I love 2k games,im getting this day one. but sony's NBA09 is 1080p60 and look amazing. i downloaded the 07 demo last night,its pretty good but its no 2k.

I'll be getting this. i love NBA2k. havent played any other basketball game since 2k2

I dont know if I'm going to buy 2k9 or 09 now because 2k9 doesn't have trophies but I've always been a 2k fan since the dreamcast(its the reason why I bought one)

I thought about this too but honestly, there's no better basketball game out there than 2K

Yeah I've always prefered the nba 2k series for awhile and I think thats the general consensus.

Do you guys like using the shot stick? It took a little getting used to but I ended up liking it a lot. They've made some changes for 2k9 like allowing you to change shots mid-air.

nba live 09 demos

nba 09 (exclusive) the inside is pretty cool actually...I like how you can play the life and even in the demo create a character
Then as you play the story get points to unlock alternate jerseys and other stuff...and the graphics are 1080p

i havent played the live 09 demo i did read that EA will update the players and rosters every week

and im waiting on a 2k9 demo

Ill probably buy nba 09 the inside....for the story mode.
and either 2k9 or live 09 whichever is better...

couple people that are die hard 2k fans told me they was switching to live 09 this year after they played the demo...so ima give it a try.

Yeah it seems that both are doing that live update thing, 2K with their Association 2.0 that do roster updates and rumors/news stories. I'm hearing that its supposed to be pretty well constructed and updated for this year.

I haven't seen any demos for either but should be dropping soon considering they're coming out next Tuesday.

Wow... I just saw some trailers for NBA 09 The Inside and I'm kind of shocked how bad the graphics were. It kind of looks like an older version of The Sims. I like how they set it up like a movie storyline but looks like I'm favoring 2K9 this year.

It'll depend on the graphics for me. I think the gameplay is a little better in the 2K series but the graphics have been lacking (imo). In 08 I bought I all 3 versions but ended up playing NBA Live 08 more than the others. Gameplay wasn't quite as good but the graphics were nicer and they didn't seem to have glitches in the graphics like 2K8 did. Sony's was the smoothest but not nearly as complete presentation-wise. For 09, I've downloaded the two demos that are out so far but haven't tried them yet.

I'm thinking of skipping basketball this year. There's just way too many games coming out and I'm still playing madden now and my NHL09 is collecting dust. lol. Glad I'm not in to baseball or soccer haha.

2K2 was the best man! But yea the 2K series is definitely the best series of basketball games.

very impressed with the in game graphics...especially the facial expressions... DAMN. definatley takes the cake on the beauty part. of course, it controls like a DREAM. THIS is a basketball game. trophies or no trophies, this is the one to pick up!

I'm not very happy... you can't shoot it immediately after you jab step or create space. How horrible is that? I love the 2K series basketball games since 2K3 but this is stupid.

I didnt think it was possible, but 2K9 looks even more real than last year's. but yet at the same time, up close the player models dont look that good. I'm so conflicted, i just dont know who to trust anymore.....
