Best for PS3??? - Blu-ray Forum

Hello, please help me to build new home theatre. I don't know which receiver and speakers i should buy for my ps3? Room is about 20 square metre.

1. What is your budget?

2. Where are you purchasing from, uk, eu, usa? (metric system)

Saturnas, what kind of buying options do you have? what store or online websites can you shop from so we can get an idea of brands sold.

Some common receiver brands and models to research.. this should get you started.

Denon AVR-789, 889
Onkyo TX-SR606, 706
Pioneer VSX-1018AH-K, 01TXH
Sony STR-DG820, 920
Yamaha RX-V663, RX-V863

These are the current models, if you look into previous models then you will find a better deal. Note that the bare minimum the receiver needs is to be able to process multi-channel PCM over HDMI for the PS3.

Then look into getting a decent 5 or 7 channel speaker system. Common brands are Polk, Klipsch, Infinity, JBL, Energy.. etc That should be enough to get your research started.

I can shop only from Lithuanian stores or websites... Here it is a few:

In my opinion Onkyo TX-SR606 looks nice, but how about 5.1 system speakers?

Th Onkyo 606 looks to be the best receiver available at the lowest price...I wouldn't get anything lower than that if you can manage. Although the website is hard to read for me, for speakers Klipsch would be a good solid buy.
