What is the pilot episode widescreen edition ? What makes it different?

Wow, AMC pulling the same crap they did with the first season of The Walking Dead. They put out one edition, and then put out the "super fancy extra super duper special edition" shortly after.

I held off on buying the first season of Fear The Walking Dead because I couldn't see myself re-watching the season enough to justify its cost. When I do eventually get this, it will be this version, but it will be after it's cheaper. The (ultimately) disappointing first season with its sixth episodes is worth owning (especially if you're a big Walking Dead fan) just not right away at new release prices.

Of course I already purchased the previous release. I won't be buying this unless I can sell off my version for close to what I paid. I hate this practice of bare bones releases and then a better version later forcing consumers to double dip if they want the extras...

I just ordered the standard edition and it will suit me just fine. I hardly watch special features anymore and I have yet to watch a single special feature on any of The Walking Dead seasons sans the Mini-Sodes they use to include

I read the pilot was originally shot/intended to air in 2.35:1; I bet this will be that.

I will only buy this if it goes below $10 as I already own the standard release. The special features don't seem that good anyways.

I'd be quite happy if this was a digipak to go with all TWD SE seasons.
If not, it still boasts the hottest zombie, to date, in TWD universe, on the cover!

Nobody forces anyone to double dip. You choose what to buy and what not to buy. I for one chose not to buy the first FTWD release knowing I'd prefer the special edition at a later date.
