Man, I hope so. I'll take "Dragonheart" over that total snooze-fest known as "Excalibur" any day of the week!

Can I ask you a question? What exactly makes Excalibur a snooze-fest? I know everyone has their own taste in movies but Excalibur? Everytime I watch Excalibur, I can feel the pride in my heart.

Excalibur is an excellent movie...I would buy it on BD in an instant , since all I have is the full frame version lol.

As for Drangonheart ( another talking dragon ) Ill pass since my son is grown up now.

Excalibur is the ultimate Arthurian movie.

The acting is entirely top notch and even the (optical) SFX hold up.... the only thing lacking is that it isn't nearly the big budget production. There should be hundreds, if not thousands of extras for the battle scenes, etc. Barring a Lucas style-reworking, that's not going to happen. Any remake would almost certainly screw it up.

Excalibur is great! It has Helen Mirren in it, looking damn sexy!!! She was a pretty girl in those early days. Looking forward to a blu-ray release......

I watched Excalibur about 5-10 years ago, and I just could not get into the whole thing. Granted, Helen Mirren was stunning in the movie. And I knew that the movie was about how Arthur became King by pulling the sword of Excalibur out of the stone. But I still just couldn't get into the whole story. Maybe when Excalibur comes to Blu-ray in the near future, I'll give it another chance.
