Default Chris Benoit double homicide/suicide

For anyone that ever watched WWE or WCW and knows the wrestler Chris Benoit. He was found dead along with his wife and son today in his home.

R.I.P.

I was absolutely shocked to hear this on RAW tonight.

One of the best. And taken way too soon.

I know not everybody watches or respects this form of entertainment, but IMHO it was just breath-taking to watch him in action. Total devotion to his craft.

the last match they showed tonight where benoit won the heavyweight champion belt at WM 20 and Eddie G. came into the ring crying....that was a really powerful moment...I cant believe they are both dead now...

Latest Report: The investigation is now being treated as a double murder and suicide. Hard to believe that Chris Benoit would ever do something like this but I guess you can never know...Autopsy will be conducted tommorow for causes of death.

Just because he was a male doesn't mean that he did the murder-suicide. It could have been his wife, just like what happened to Phil Hartman 9 years ago.

My friends and I are all broken up about this. We're life long wrestling fans and Chris Benoit was truly one the greatest in ring performers I've ever seen. It was a blessing to watch him live and on TV. He will never be forgotten and will be missed.

R.I.P. Chris Benoit

Over the course of the last 10 or so hours we have learned first, a man who we all respected and a great entertainer was dead. Obviously everyone was sad to hear this. I want to know what opinions of him are going to be left after the news breaks that it was Benoit who somehow snapped and murdered his family. It certainly puts a negative skew on the respect of the career we've all watched for several years. What are your thoughts? What should the WWE do now that they have put together a three hour tribute to a man who murdered his family? I think that the WWE should not mention his name again, just never bring up the issue. Obviously all of the superstars will be saddened by their loss, but as a company you just can't have everyone going around talking about how great a man he was. What does everyone else think?

If someone kills themselves it is very sad but it is their choice. If someone murders innocent people while committing suicide any grief or admiration should evaporate. Apparently he killed a woman 8 days older than me and his own 7 year old son. There is no one that can admire someone who killed their own son like he allegedly did.

But was this him or was it all the drugs he ingested? We need legislation and have all athletes tested for performance enhancing drugs. We all know these guys are on massive steroids and testosterone. It's the only way for them to compete and it turns them into raging madmen at times.

Authorities will perform autopsies. Performance enhancing drugs will be found. An investigation into how he obtained those drugs will be conducted. Prosecutions against people will be made. People will snitch on one another. We can't let this same thing happen again. I hope we can learn from his death and it will not be completely in vain.

I feel so sad for his wife and son right now. I can just see the kid looking up at his enraged father right before dying. It's just too painful to think about beyond that.

I have no idea who this guy is, but let's withhold judgement until the authorities tell us what they have discovered. No reason to slander a person when their may be no reason to.

This is real and not fake (unlike the Mr. Mcmahon limousine explosion incident)

But going back, it is a sad day in wrestling history for Chris Benoit to leave all of us behind.

RIP Chris Benoit

Definitely a tragedy no matter what.

With the reports coming out, I'm bracing myself for the unfathomable worst but praying for the best.

This man was one of the best wrestlers I've ever seen and his winning the title at WM20 and celebrating with Eddie Guerrero, his best friend, probably is the best pro wrestling memory I've got, period.

I pray for his family and friends to be sure.

I'm really sorry to have to post this:

Quote:
TMZ has learned more about the deaths of WWE wrestling superstar Chris Benoit, his wife and son -- and the information is extremely disturbing.

Several Atlanta-based law enforcement sources have told TMZ prior to confirmation from the coroner's office, initial reports say that Benoit strangled his wife on Saturday, then smothered his son in his bed a day later. According to sources, Benoit then h

According to sources, Benoit then hanged himself in a weight room inside the family home.
CNN and the other outlets are starting to run with this. I'm truly speechless.

Wow, just wow. I wonder if it was due to some performance enhancing drugs or what.

No idea. I guess we won't know anything definitive until the autopsies and the rest of it are done.

F that, I don't give f who you are or what you took, you are responsible for your actions. If he took drugs it was still him doing the act. Again if true, I have no idea. Generally speaking though drugs, alcohol, etc are not excuses for sympathy.
