The Blu-ray will be available in two editions, either on it's own, or in a JB HiFi exclusive limited to 2000 copies, paired with the original 1968 film, which will have reversible artwork. The 1968 version is the same disc that was previously released by Umbrella Entertainment:

Well, this one (standard and 2-disc) will have a removable sticker instead of being printed on the slick. Leave it on, if you like, or cast it to the rubbish bin - the choice shall be yours!

I'm only keen if it's the uncensored version. Which it probably won't be.

Of course not. You are referring to the extra material shown in the documentary on the DVD right? They'd have to locate that, scan it, master it etc. far too much investment for a release such as this. If we're lucky, Umbrella will have been able to correct the horrible blue filter anniversary version Sony prepared, and give us something resembling the original print.

Fingers crossed it won't be the botched blue transfer. I sold it as soon as I watched the Twilight Time release.

Has it ever been available, anywhere?!

I too had the TT disc and sold it.

It's not just the blue-filter, I also don't want the botched 5.1 remaster. Hopefully they'll use the original surround mix and any 5.1, hopefully fixed though I doubt it, as an alternative option.

The blue filter was a waste of time anyway, all it did was replace one sudden change for another. In the "blue" version, you just go through a twilight of blue filter and not much other colour to full night with the rich colours from earlier in the film coming back, like someone just turned on the lights. IMHO it's even more jarring than the original.

Never. Not officially, anyway.

I'm happy to forego owning this digitally. I saw it on VHS several times. Plenty of other titles to buy.

Hey folks

Since it's out there

1. Master is from Sony and isn't the TT one, so colours are as they were and sound mix isn't their 5.1

2. There's going to be some ****ing great extras on here that we've put together (imho)

3. The illustrated covers (yes, plural) I've put together are probably the ones I'm most proud of so far

Cheers

Is it the older master that was up on streaming or is it fixed? I want the blue tint fixed as much as everyone else but I don't want an old master.
