The stunts were really impressive in this movie. I'm also interested in seeing the behind the scenes featurette on those stunt works.

However the characters and storyline were just incoherent mess. I was literally rolling my eyes and shaking my head. It really was terrible.

I'll eventually pick this up for the stunts alone. It really was that good, but not until it hits Black Friday level pricing (less than $8 for 3D - the story was so bad)

The original with Swayze and Reeve's is a classic. This remake is pure dog crap!!!!! I gave it a shot, and while the stunts were awesome, well let's just say there's more to a film than just stunts. I couldn't get into the characters.

How many people liked/disliked this movie?

I wasn't a fan of the original, it wasn't bad but I didn't feel the need to own it or watch it again, so the remake won't trample on any nostalgia...

I really want to see this in 3D and sometimes will sell the movie before I see it. Since you can't Redbox 3D, I'll have the movie presold and I'll buy it release day morning, watch it that day and mail it off that evening. I've had fairly good luck doing that with titles like Goosebumps and Pixels but I got burned a bit with San Andreas and In the Heart of the Sea, I ended up going out and having to buy it again because I liked them.

I think I'm better off playing it safe, but thought I'd ask here first.

^^ I like Delroy Lindo just fine. He's done plenty of action-thrillers and B-movies I enjoyed. The other guy I haven't seen in anything (I don't think).

It was more that the premise just sounds silly to me. The original didn't take itself too seriously, and is one of my all-time favorite action movies.
