2k9 By far! I had live and 2k8 last year and even though live is getting better it is still not close to 2k9. Only played the Sony version in Target and didn't like the way the players moved.

that NBA 09 the inside is garbage! Play the demo, the Live demo is off the chain.

I will not speakon 2k as I hear good things bout their bball but the rest is crap... im a big live fan tho, but I will give 2k9 a play to see .

ill more than likely buy live tho

I haven't played 2k9 yet but the Sony branded one actually is more responsive and plays better than Live.. Looks better as well.

I'm not buying any at full price. Maybe if I can get one for $20-30 or so.

2k is a better all around game, but im hearing live is going to give it a run for its money this year, we will have to wait and see

2K9 by far. It has fantastic hard-nosed play, and plays the most like real basketball. The AI in the game is the best out there, and it will punish you if you leave a hole in your defense. I haven't tried the newest version of Live yet, but I do have and play NBA 2K8 and 2K7 on PS3. I have the game dating back to the original NBA 2K on Dreamcast, and it's consistently the best hoop simulation in the business. Plus you can create your own online leagues, and that's great fun.

We should develop an online Blu-ray.com 2K9 league. That would be fantastic.

They said the same thing last year. It's marketing BS! 2K9 will be the best!

2K9 without a doubt. The graphics are much more realistic than both (it can be mistaken for a real game at times), the gameplay looks so much more natural (the differences are obvious in the trailers).

The 5 on 5 online gameplay is a lock for me as well. 2K9 FTW.

I played Live and 09 and Live is better. Yesterday the 2k demo is up, so we will see.

Played 2k9 last night. I do like the sound of the 5v5 gameplay.

Sony's game looks the best on my 1080p set. Runs the smoothest as well. 2k9 comes in a close second.. Live just feels really unresponsive to me.

Last year, I couldn't decide and this year (after playing the demos), I didn't think it was clear-cut either.

Not in order of preference...

NBA 09 - good graphics and the smoothest, pretty good presentation and heh, liked that the comment changed when not waiting for the intro to complete (he said something along the lines of, "I guess they're in a hurry" when skipping it), a little easier than the 2K series

NBA2K9 - best gameplay, pretty smooth, pretty good graphics, pretty good presentation, hardest

NBA Live 09 - best presentation/style, good graphics but framerate issues at times, I also kind of like the way they simulate momentum, a little easier than the 2K series

I played nba 09 the inside (demo) and I happen to love it I think just like mlb the show which is one of the best baseball games I think there catching up

That about sums it up. NBA 09 was actually surprisingly good and made the biggest improvement out of all of them from last year. I liked their feature they have there on the player progression. Also it's the only one supporting trophies and looks the best out of all of them. 2k9 plays the best and most realistic, Live is an improvement also and is bringing something new to the table as well.

With so many games to look forward to this holiday I doubt I'll buy a bball game though.

live has the 5v5 as well.... 09 sucked, 2k was decent, Live gets my money. the gameply is alot better and the graphics always are.
