I bought this set when it came out...Now it's $15 cheaper (I did use a gift card, but still).

It's the lowest it's ever been. Plus, you'd pay much more to buy the soundtracks individually, and you still wouldn't get the bonus DVD.

I got the first 6 soundtracks free through Freegal. It took about a month but it was 100% free. Check out the link for more information.

FYI these cds are the 97' masters for the OT (there was 97' then I think 99, and then for sure 2004, and now 2016) and the original releases for prequels (not sure if these were remastered at all, they might not be) and do not have the 2016 remasters on both the new digital and Vinyl releases, why? ask Sony.

Also as Jett Rink pointed out all 6 are available for free digitally via freegal (04 masters for OT and original for prequels) , but you have to nab em 5 tracks a week. (atleast that's my library limit), they are 256 CBR Mp3s though, not loss less for sure. But I can always get loseless later.

The bonus disc and the packaging is the only appeal, and that is also available with the digital purchase if im not wrong.

Seems like sony rushing to cash in on the TFA buzz, and rushed the release, trying to push these out before they lose the rights i imagine

Honestly I would not be shocked if we see the remasters on Freegal by the end of the summer as well.
