I just don't think we're gonna get a sequel. I hope we do cuz I'd love to know what happens next. But Cloverfield was a massive hit and it took 8 years to get a not-followup like this. And it originally wasn't even planned as a "Cloverfield" movie. It was based on an entirely different script called The Cellar.

I'm not reading shit. Haven't since the trailer dropped. I'm seeing this at 7:00 tonight and I'm gonna wear my Slusho! shirt I got 8 years ago (surprised it still fits) to it. Only after, can I catch up on EVERYTHING that's been written on this and I think that's gonna be just as interesting as the damn film itself.

This has gotten a 12a over here, when the first one got a 15. Pretty strange, like I know the found footage probably pushed some of the content over the edge, and I know there's no direct ties. But it's strange to think a bunch of kids will be going into this without having seen or even knowing of the original.

Please do. The sound is dynamic and powerful for that alone its a must watch in IMAX. However, this doesnt have select IMAX sequences so you will still see minimal black bars at the top and bottom of the screen.

Watching Cloverfield right now, in the Cloverfield shirt I wore to the first film the day it opened.

I think I may be more excited for this movie than anything other film release this year. Maybe.

Don't get your hopes too high up as this has nothing to do with Cloverfield. This movie its pretty much on its own.

Would have given this a 3 out of 5 but the ending was so bad I dropped it down to a 2.5/5 I'm shocked at the rave reviews, just another reason why I don't listen to them. The trailer was interesting hence why I wanted to see this but it just wasn't very good. Oh well

Ill go watch it with a open mind. If it sucks i wont be suprised. Already know Cloverfield has nothing to do with this film
