I've been enjoying it. The book is great, the show is a bit more out there tho.

Great show. Not read the book before but you can instantly get a strong Stephen King vibe from the show (particularly with the most recent episode, which plays up the horror element).

Should come down quite a bit before release - it's only an 8 episode limited series so won't be that pricy.

Loved the book and enjoying the mini-series. The one thing I dislike about it is the dreadful and generic opening titles sequence, surely they could have spend some more dough to get that right.

Aside from Game of Thrones and such, they don't make cool show intros like they used to.

Glad to see this getting a BD release. I'm hoping for a US release be glad to know there is another option, if that doesn't happen.

Thumbs up

Finished the series today and am really hoping for an extras-packed North American BD release.

Bring it on!

I've ordered this on a blind buy, at the current £12.99 I definitely thought it was worth a go, arriving tomorrow from Amazon.

Does anyone know if any of the supermarkets will be stocking this and if so, how much it'll be?

Watched the first four episodes over the weekend, really enjoying it. They've diverted from the book in a few ways which is interesting, I can see why they've made the changes they had. Franco is an interesting choice for the lead and not who I would have pictured, however he is good in the role. Sarah Gadon is absolutely terrific casting as Sadie though, she's wonderful.

Does the UK version also have Dutch subtitles?

There were tears in the ChainsawJedi household when we watched the last episode of the series last week. My wife and I loved the book - unquestionably one of King's best - and found the series to be a very faithful adaptation. Personally, I thought James Franco and Sarah Gadon to be perfect casting. I'm sure the point has been made before but it's strange that, since King made his name as a horror writer, it's really only his non-horror stuff that succeeds as well on film.

I completely disagree that it was a faithful adaption of the book, they changed so much and I found the first half of the series good, particularly the first two episodes but the last half really nosedived for me, very disappointed overall. My main frustrations were with all of the unnecessary changes they made.
