i am trying to hook up my ps3 to a 720p bravia somehow it the video is not coming up, any suggestions. i have it in my room connected to a 1080p bravia which is the initial tv. took it to the living room to watch iron man with the family but image is not coming it is hooked up hdmi in my room did the same thing to the living room and still nothing.

Take it back to your room and make sure it's still working there. If so, while it's on, go into yhe menu system, change it to 720p, then power down, take to the living room and try it there again. If the unit is set for 1080p, the 720p display likely can't handle the 1080p signal so you need to tell the PS3 to send out in 720p instead. That should work.

Do a system reset if you want to keep shifting your PS3 from one TV with a different resolution to another. You do this by pressing the On button for five seconds. The PS3 will start at 480p/i resolution and then you can set it higher.
Doing a reset will also reset the sound settings so you have to set the audio too. fuad |
