Don't know whether I just had a bad experience with digital but I tried watching a UV code last night and couldn't make it 5 minutes. Quality was just appalling (labelled as 'HD'). Would much rather pay more to get it in an actual watchable format.

![]() Anywho, I figured I'd post it as an alternative to folks who don't want to rebuy movies again or having an extra BD & DVD copies of Fury Road if you wanted the 3D version. Oh wait, let me shut up about 3D because that will open up another can of worms. Stepping out of this conversation now. |

This is Amazon's deal of the day for $47.49. Still a little too high for me personally

I just got this set.
I'm disappointed because there are no special features for The Road Warrior. It's nice that this set has a bonus disc for the original, but many consider The Road Warrior to be one of the best action films of the 80's, but it gets nothing. ![]() I'm not bothered that no special features for Thunderdome are included since that film wasn't all that great. |

I bought The Max Max Anthology blu-ray for $29.95 *AUD** at JB Hi-Fi. They have a mini-sale on at the moment and as I own neither on blu-ray I thought it was a pretty terrific price.
I also bought The Godfather Trilogy for $44 AUD. That's the special collection that came out last year. I own none of the films on blu-ray. I have no plans to buy a 4K television for the next 5-10 years. - Digital_Archivist |

I thought I'd ask in this topic rather than make another.
I am correct that there's differences between the Anthology UK set and US boxsets? The back covers of each suggests so. movies/Mad-Max-Anthology-Blu-ray/132071/ (US) movies/Mad-Max-Anthology-Blu-ray/135938/ (UK) I'm specifically interested in the first two films. I believe the US set contains: Mad Max with the original Aussie audio (DTS-HD MA) and US dubbed lossy. Mad Max 2 (2013) AVC encode + DTS-HD MA 5.1 track: movies/The-Road-Warrior-Blu-ray/66814/ An Amazon customer review of the UK set states: We get the dodgy Mad Max release with lossy Aussie audio + lossless US dubbed Plus the improved 2013 copy of Mad Max 2: amazon.co.uk/gp/customer-reviews/RDRBPFKBBM7V/ref=cm_cr_srp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B011BRT5FQ If that is the case then there must be a misprint on the back cover of the UK set. What's the best way to obtain the de-facto releases of the first two in Region B / region-free? Last edited by mwnn; 07-24-2019 at 10:26 AM. |
