Where? I'd buy this in a heartbeat, have been hovering over SF release.

Thought announcements not due until Thursday.

Announced on Arrows Instagram. I attached a screenshot but used my iPhone to make the thread so it probably doesn't look too pretty.

This was revealed on April fools on Arrow's Facebook, the first reveal was a joke where it was a limited Big Mac edition but then they revealed that The Burning would be released by them for real.

Great film. One of the big 81 slasher's. Pretty much the golden age for this genre of film.
The Scream Factory edition just had ported dvd extras so it'll be nice to see this one get some love.

The Scream Factory did have some EXCLUSIVE extras:

Cropsy Speaks – An interview with actor Lou David
Summer Camp Nightmare – An interview with actress Leah Ayres
Audio Commentary with stars Shelley Bruce and Bonnie Deroski

Sure Arrow will sort out some decent features of their own though

Thanks, I don't think I was actually aware of the commentary. Been awhile since I got it.

IMO, if you are into slashers, then you need this in your life. The decision is as simple as having your fingers cut off with a pair of shears!

Always prefer original artwork, however I much prefer my dvd art over that Betamax one.

I have this Mondo print which would be a decent alternative.

Really looking forward to this! If they can do an edition like Society or Bride of Re-animator I'll be made up! Will be able to hang up my uncut R1 DVD at last!

It's definitely not an April Fool - they confirmed it later that day (stating that it obviously won't come in foam burger packaging)!

All I know is I can't wait to see details of the transfer. I'll pick this up for sure but still keep my SF blu because this is one of my favorite films and those extras etc are awesome.

OT but just reminded me; it would be great if Arrow also released April Fool's Day.

Although the current BD transfer is decent it's from the same master prepared for the 2005 DVD, I'm hoping Arrow have unearthed a superior source.

A 4k scan of the OCN maybe....I can dream
